Hua Hin is a few hours drive south of Bangkok. If you’re driving on a labor day long weekend then add one hour. This small city is popular with tourists, but many Thais come here for holidays also.
The beach has the usual concentration of food and drink pop-up shops, and is very family friendly. The surrounding mountains are a natural wonder. Definitely a place to come back to and explore more.
